It’s now or never. I’ve threatened—only myself, mind you—to do this for years. The holdback? The possibility that I have no business advising anyone on volleyball or anything else for that matter looms large and may become very public. (Well, not”very public.” That would assume that more than one or two old, invalid coaches searching the blogosphere during a few insomniactic episodes on a blustery winter’s night happen upon my thoughts. What are the odds?) But scattered about in my 40-plus years of coaching are plenty of experience with opening my mouth when “going gently into that good night” was a much wiser option. So let’s march on. I hope I can help
